Volunteers

Serving our veterans is made possible with the dozens of volunteers that contribute their time and talent to the OTW mission. To our team of event and program volunteers - Thank You! You are the best! 

OTW volunteers are comprised of veterans and non-veterans committed to giving back to our great men and women of the United States Armed Forces. Volunteer opportunities include: 

  • Boat/Boat Captaining/Co-captaining for our summer fishing events (taking one or two veterans out fishing for a day on Lake Sakakawea – launch and trailer at Indian Hills Resort (www.fishindianhills.com) – 30 miles west of Garrison, North Dakota
  • Event Planning/Logistics
  • Set-up/Take-down and misc. assistance at summer fishing events
  • Help launch and trailer boats at fishing events
  • Fish cleaning station/filleting station
  • Event exhibiting/public relations
  • Misc. projects for the Veterans Cabin (cleaning, fixing, landscaping, etc.)
  • Fundraising
  • Misc. OTW committees
  • Other talents you feel may contribute to the OTW mission
